Ian Dunn, Woodworker

The following pieces of furniture are handcrafted by our son, Ian, he started his furniture making at the age of 14 as part of his homeschooling curriculum.

Ian prefers to make his furniture entirely by hand, working the wood using hand-planes, saws and chisels, much like it was once done over a hundred years ago by countless cabinet-makers and joiners.  As Ian's work is unplugged (working without power equipment) he is able to have almost zero carbon footprint in his creations. Each piece is so unique and has charm and character that can only come from hand tool work.
